What is the purpose of life in Islam?

The Quran gives a clear answer: jinn and human beings were created to worship Allah. 51:56

Life is also a test that reveals the quality of people’s deeds, so its purpose joins worship of Allah with righteous action. 67:22:21

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ

People, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, so that you may be mindful [of Him]Translation: M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ
